KanHan Honored with Gold and Designer Awards in 2015 Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme

(28th April,2015) This is the third year of Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme held by The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO). Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme (the scheme) encourages websites and mobile applications to be developed under Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) Level AA to facilitate the disabled and the visual impaired persons to enjoy the online community.

KanHan Technologies Limited (KanHan) has been steadfastly supporting the scheme and WCAG 2.0 ever since it was introduced by OGCIO making its compliance one basic requirement for all government websites. This is the second year KanHan enrolled into the scheme and received a gold award for the corporate website (http://www.kanhan.com) in a row. OGCIO has also introduced the inaugural “The Designer Award” this year to appreciate the ingenious efforts of  technology partners retrofitting websites of non-government organizations to be WCAG compliant.  KanHan is pleased to be one of the three companies honored with the award.

Since 2013 KanHan has been providing web accessibility gap analysis and rectification service to over 80 websites for various government departments / bureaus to conform to WCAG 2.0 and in some cases coupled with routine content update and web vulnerability assessment services.

·         Half-day workshop presenting the analysis and suggestions to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and judging criteria.

·         Prepare service requirements and specification for client’s consideration in addressing the short-term deadline and long term revamping plan.

·         Use of scanning tool, visual review and fail case testing based on WCAG 2.0 guidelines.

·         Provide detail analysis report containing evaluation on compliant criteria, summary and recommended actions.

·         Rectify and re-organize the website format and design in conformance to WCAG 2.0 Level AA requirements.

·         Rectification services on PDF, UNICODE migration, image and video to conform to WCAG 2.0 guidelines.

·         Migrate for aging websites to Content Management System (CMS) based web structure.

·         Enhance Text version website according WCAG 2.0 guidelines.
