All-rounded Maintenance Service for HKSAR Government Departmental Websites

Providing up-to-date information is critical for HKSAR Government Departmental websites. Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) began in 2012 to promulgate web accessibility in accordance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 technical standard to government websites. KanHan Technologies Limited (KanHan) has since then provided rectification service to over 50 websites from various government departments / bureaus to conform to WCAG 2.0 and in some cases coupled with routine content update and web vulnerability assessment services.

"EatSmart @restaurant.hk" campaign is a major health promotion programme of the Department of Health (DH) in collaboration with the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department and various professional and academic bodies. With voluminous data and nutrition tips contributed from catering industry and the management associations concerned, the need for content update on matching page design is ever increasing. Since the first cooperation in web design in 2008, KanHan has been providing the demanding content update service By beginning of 2013, the scope has been expanded to include the WCAG conformance component.

In addressing the web security concerns from departments / bureaus, the newly launched KanHan's Web Vulnerability Assessment (WVA) on the content update procedure is able to minimize the security threat caused by update routines. The WVA is now offered as a standard component in KanHan's website maintenance program.
