eLearning Courseware Development Case Sharing

Not only in education sector, eLearning is also popular in serving corporate training needs. More corporations are now advocating eLearning to broaden their employees’ professional knowledge and promote corporate culture. Recently, KanHan Technologies Limited (KanHan) has been invited by the Hospital Authority Institute of Health Care (HAIHC) and Student Financial Assistance Agency (SFAA) to develop a set of learning courseware and online demonstrations respectively for the purpose of internal training and public acknowledgement.

Keep Learning for Health-Care Workers: The Hospital Authority Institute of Health Care

The objective of the service is to produce five web-based learning packages with a view to enhancing learners’ competence in the respective areas. In this project, KanHan has provided courseware design and programming. At the first stage, KanHan is responsible for consolidating a set of contents provided by the tutors. After consolidation, KanHan’s project team further organized and designed the contents with appropriate screens to make it more appealing. Enlivened with sound effects and voice-over, the comprehensive courseware is accessible on the internet with course note for user’s revision.

Understanding the Application Procedure: Student Financial Assistance Agency

In order to assist the tertiary students to choose and apply the appropriate financial subsidy more easily, SFAA has invited KanHan to design an online demonstration for the application. The online demonstrations are divided into “Tertiary Student Finance Scheme-Publicly-Funded Programmes” and “Non-mean-tested Loan Scheme for Full-time Tertiary Students”.  Illustrated extensively with animations and graphics, applicants are guided step by step the submission procedure.

Apart from the development of the online demonstrations, KanHan also provided web accessibility gap analysis and rectification service to ensure the online demonstration conforms to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0).  User readability is further enhanced by  having language choice of Traditional Chinese or English  available at different font sizes.
