To encourage broader adoption of web accessibility designs in the community with a view to facilitating access to online information and services by everyone including the disabled and the elderly, the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) and the Equal Opportunities co-organize an annual Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme (the Scheme) to show appreciation to enterprises and organizations for making their websites and mobile applications accessible.
This year, KanHan Technologies Limited (KanHan) received a gold award in the Scheme. It is the result that KanHan has been striving to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) Level AA to optimize the essential channel for our product promotions and customer communication. Meanwhile, WCAG 2.0 benefits the public from accessing our information and online service effortlessly. KanHan can also disseminate information proficiently and help build an ideal internet exploring experience.
Web Accessibility Services
Towards the end of 2013, KanHan has provided web accessibility gap analysis and rectification service to over 80 websites for various government departments / bureaus to conform to WCAG 2.0 and in some cases coupled with routine content update and web vulnerability assessment services.
KanHan is gratified to provide web accessibility solutions to all organizations including government departments, private business sectors, non-government organizations (NGOs), quasi-government and other organizations, helping them to deliver their messages wider across as well as optimizing the general usability for all users.

Most Favourite Websites
This year, OGCIO has introduced a new award for the "Most Favourite Websites" to show recognition to exemplary and popular website pursuing best practices in web accessibility. Among a sea of competitive entrants, the websites of The Hong Kong Society of Rehabilitation and Tsuen Wan Catholic Primary School have successfully become the second & third runner-up respectively under the public voting. It is significant that Tsuen Wan Catholic Primary School is the first Hong Kong School to be awarded by the Scheme and the "Most Favourite Websites".
